The observatory in Rozhen – The National Astronomical Observatory “Rozhen” is located on the Rhodope mountain Rozhen, at 1750 m above sea level, about 25 km from the town of Smolyan. The observatory was opened in 1981. It is the largest astronomical observatory in the Balkans and in general in this region of Southeast Europe. The Rozhen observatory is equipped with 4 telescopes. It provides observations on a wide range of astronomical and astrophysical tasks – from dynamics and physics of solar system bodies to extragalactic studies.

Leshten and Dobarsko – Leshten and Dobarsko are two of the villages that have most tangibly preserved the spirit of the past. Stroll through their winding streets, whatever the season, and you’ll be overcome with blissful serenity. In Dobarsko, be sure to visit the church “St. St. Theodore Tyrone and Theodore Stratilatus with frescoes from the 17th century and the famous image of Jesus Christ “on a shuttle”.

Tpn and the train of a p. Emma – The Tpan railway, which most people call it, is located about 3 km from the town of Tpan and represents one of the most attractive natural attractions in Bulgaria. The length of the railway is about 100 meters, and from the two walls of the peĸa, correspondingly majestic stones rise.
