Prof. Neli Grozeva – Vice-Rector of Thrace University with wonderful impressions from the visit to China

The Bulgarian delegation in China, which included the Vice-Rector for Education and Information Activities Prof. Dr. Neli Grozeva and Assoc. Dr. Blaga Stoikova from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Thrace, participated in a series of official meetings with a visit to the International Educational Foundation for Chinese language, whose main activity is the management of the Confucius Institute. They were welcomed by the Vice-Chairman and Secretary-General of the Foundation Mr. Cao, the Deputy Directors of Policy and Global Network and Programs and Grands Departments Mr. Wu Tong and Mr. Ding Yang.

Mr. Cao emphasized that it is extremely important for their organization to welcome a Bulgarian delegation on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Bulgaria. He shared with satisfaction that seven of the first foreign students admitted to the Peking University for Foreign Languages ​​were from Bulgaria, and this happened only two years after the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Prof. Grozeva shared that all participants, after the fruitful discussion, united unanimously around the opinion that the shortest way to bring two peoples together is by studying their languages ​​and culture: “This is how we become friends for life and create strong bridges to the future!”.
