A 17-year-old was caught stealing chocolate in a hypermarket in Haskovo, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced. Yesterday morning, employees at the store reported a boy who stole chocolate products. The patrol sent to the spot explained that the minor had collected 11 chocolates of a certain brand without paying, which he returned with a report.

The Dimitrovgrad District Police also reported that two perpetrators of theft had been caught. In custody was a 20-year-old man from the city who stole a stove from the yard of a private home on Vasil Levski Street.

A 24-year-old man stole 200 BGN and 25,000 British pounds from an apartment on Kiril and Methodius Street. A 75-year-old man reported the money. In the course of the work, it became known that the home was not broken into, and the sum was taken by the grandson of the elderly complainant, who misled his grandfather by staging a break-in into the apartment through his open terrace. After his arrest, the young man confessed his actions and described the mechanism of their execution. He shared that he threw the money in a wooded area on the road between the city and the village of Brod, but so far it has not been found. Work on the initiated pre-trial proceedings continues.
