Bulgaria must preserve its energy independence, and this goes through the preservation of coal-fired thermal power plants.

The disgraceful treacherous policy of the government of the “assembly” GERB, PP-DB and DPS dragged the state into energy dependence. We all saw what the “Green Deal” and the outright terror against conventional fuel extraction led to – an energy crisis that hit everyone’s pocketbook. Inflation, closed factories and unemployment.

Market liberalization, even delayed by a year, will lead to unemployment and unaffordable household electricity bills. This irresponsible energy policy must be stopped.

The servitude policy over the past three years has turned Bulgaria from a leading leader in the energy market in Europe into a dependent and weak country, facing the threshold of an energy crisis and a serious collapse of the labor market in the “Energy” sector.

The stupid policy of favoring solar power plants further turns Bulgaria from an exporter into an importer of electricity, and the energy balance of the system is dusty. This creates a risk of crashes and frequent power problems.

That is why we at VMRO once again support the fair demands and the inevitable yet another protest of the people from the energy sector. More than 12,000 people are employed in the activities of the “Maritsa – East” complex. What do the rulers propose? Take their livelihood and drive it by candlelight?

Bulgaria has a national interest – to preserve jobs and its energy independence!
