“After more than two hours of meeting with representatives of the Agriculture sector, we have news to announce. The so-called Ukrainian aid, concluded with an agreement between the sector and the previous government of February 12, by which agreement this aid was to be paid by April 22. Today we made a decision and all representatives of the sector agreed that they will wait until May 15. Means and means have been found to make this happen.”
This was stated by the acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev after the meeting with the representatives of the agricultural branch organizations, reported BGNES.

Glavchev thanked the representatives of the sector for their understanding. He described the meeting as unprecedented.
“Never before have so many representatives of the sector been present at a meeting with a government,” said the caretaker prime minister.
Acting Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Minister of Finance Lyudmila Petkova stated that the Ukrainian aid was not fully secured financially.
“In the concluded agreement, it was written that by restructuring the plan-account of the fund, the Ukrainian aid will be paid, but in fact the restructuring is not enough to include financial means to support all sectors, which requires additional provision of funds from the budget, but this provision will significantly reduce the risk in relation to the provision of funds for the Ministry and for the Agriculture Fund under European programs,” explained Petkova.
Official Minister of Agriculture and Food, Georgi Tahov, stated that he is very happy and satisfied with what happened.
“Today I saw people at a table who talked normally, humanly, and that reproduced a solution,” he emphasized.
Takhov added that the funds are provided in full at 100% for the first upcoming payment and the deadline of May 15 is dictated by the technology of the payment itself.
“No, we are not still looking for money, we have the means,” he announced and assured that by May 15, everyone will receive what they expect in full.
