Two people were caught with drugs in Haskovo and in Harmanli, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.

A 28-year-old man spent the night at the Harmanli District Office for drug possession. Yesterday at 2 p.m. forensic experts took action in the area of the Emergency Department in the city to check the young man and the Volkswagen car he was driving. At the sight of the police, the driver took a reverse maneuver with the aim of thwarting the inspection, deliberately attempting to hit a police officer, endangering his life and health. A pursuit was started, which continued for 300 meters in the direction of the villa area of the city, where the boy got out of the car and ran away, throwing a bag of dry green leaf mass weighing 10 grams. After his arrest, he refused a blood sample for examination. He was detained for up to 24 hours under the fast-track procedure.

In Haskovo, a 50-year-old woman was arrested, and an inspection was carried out in her home on “Kartechar” street in the regional town. In the apartment, the policemen found 20 joints with crystal for smoking with a total weight of 5 grams.
