Tourist season on St. Anastasia Island to open early with icon exhibition and Easter diving

This year, the tourist season on the island of St. Anastasia will start earlier. It will be opened on May 4 with an Easter dive, and on May 1 in the vestibule of the island church there will be an exhibition with icons of the burghers Toshko Vachev and Janeta Ruseva.

Divers from the “Friends of the Sea” association will dive into the sea. And after that, there will be music on the beach and mussels will be baked on the tin. Island beer will also be poured.

On St. George’s Day, a festive water light will be held on the island.

The small piece of land in Burgas Bay will offer its visitors a rich cultural program with theatrical performances, concerts and other interesting events.

“In June, we will hold another edition of Bile Fest on the island – the traditional medicinal and magical festival of herbs, on the eve of New Year’s Eve. The event will take place from June 21 to 24 and will be part of the themed Ethno weekend. DT “Adriana Budevska” and the State Opera-Burgas have once again prepared top titles from their bill, and their performances will cover all the summer months,” the manager of the complex, Pavlin Dimitrov, told BNR-Burgas.

He also informed that in July several themed Greek evenings will be held with the participation of Agathangelos Agathangelou and Aristos Constantinou with their bands, and in addition to the musical atmosphere, culinary Greek specialties will be offered.

The Solar Island series of parties returns with two dates – July 26th and 27th. Guests will also have the opportunity to choose between Beloslava’s concert, a music show by Deep Zone Project and the World up party. The evening concerts and performances will start at 9 p.m., Pavlin Dimitrov specifies.

He predicts a strong tourist season, as, in addition to Bulgarian tourists, increased interest is also expected from guests from Poland, the Czech Republic, etc.

The first wedding celebration on the island will be on April 27.

This summer, the tourist complex celebrates its 10th anniversary since its opening as a tourist destination.
