Ivan Takov will remain the chairman of the MK “BSP for Bulgaria” group in the Sofia Municipal Council. This decision was taken unanimously this morning at a meeting at which the city president Diana Tonova and the municipal member Ivan Videlov were not present.
“The group of the Local Coalition “BSP for Bulgaria” rejects the recommendation of the City Council of the BSP for a change of management and confirms its trust in its chairman Ivan Takov and the current management,” reads the decision of MK.
The group expresses concerns about the interference of the BSP’s close leadership in its decisions, stating categorically that they undermine the prestige not only of the municipal councilors from the local coalition, but also of the city organization, as well as of the party itself.
“The attempts of the BSP’s close leadership to make backroom deals with representatives of other political groups behind the backs of the municipal councilors from MK “BSP for Bulgaria” are absolutely unacceptable,” they also point out.
We remind you that earlier today the BSP-Sofia City Council decided to replace Ivan Takov, as the chairman of the group of municipal councilors of the party in SOS, with the leader of the capital’s socialists, Diana Tonova.
