DDBOP with a special offer throughout Bulgaria. A 44-year-old Russian man was arrested as part of a specialized operation for dangerous weapons in the country.
The investigation found that since the beginning of January 2023, the man had been involved in the modification of pneumatic weapons, improving their accuracy and increasing their power and range.
Through a courier company, he delivered the goods to users throughout the country, and concealed the profit from this through financial operations in the name of third parties.
Searches and seizures were carried out at two addresses and a car in Ruse, as well as at other addresses in the country. A total of nine air rifles, three mobile phones, documents – invoices, certificates and others were found in the workshop of the detainees.

Equipment for the processing of weapons was seized – a compressor and compressed air bottle, two speedometer-chronographs with silencers, about 2,000 specialized springs, a computer with software for adjusting the power of weapons, a lathe and a stand with a drill, as well as 33,000 BGN and 1,100 euros .
Owners of modified pneumatic weapons were called as witnesses and questioned.
A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated on the case, the work on which continues under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Ruse.

11 people were detained and 2 pre-trial proceedings were initiated after the metropolitan police entered the “Hristo Botev” district.
The action was held jointly with the National Revenue Agency and the Food Agency. Acts of unregulated traders were drawn up, expired food was found.
An illegal weapon was found at several addresses. Counterfeit money in various currencies was also found.
