Seven projects have been approved for financing by the Municipal Fund “Culture” for 2024 in Lovech, the municipal administration reports. A total of nine project proposals were submitted. They have been examined and evaluated by the expert council of the Municipal Fund “Culture” according to certain criteria. Financial adjustments were made to six projects.
The allocated amount for financing the approved project proposals is the full amount available to the “Culture” Fund – BGN 10,000.
The Municipality of Lovech specified for BTA that among the winning projects was that of the association “Kluch” for organizing the National Choir Festival “Panayot and Lubomir Pipkovi”, which will take place on October 19 and 29, the association informed. The goal is to popularize the work of the Pipkovi family, who occupy an important place in the cultural life of Bulgaria in the 20th century and have enormous merit for the development of musical life in Lovech. This is the first edition of the festival, and non-professional, secular and Orthodox church choirs, vocal groups, ensembles will participate in it.
The next approved project is at the “Izkustvo-2022” folk community center for “Dolls in Action and Tales from the Gramophone” – art for children and adults. Includes a puppetry workshop for children who create puppet characters and take participants through the world of puppetry in their roles. The main goals of the project are education through art, building children’s respect and commitment to theater art, creating a creative, interesting and meaningful educational environment.
The club of cultural figures will receive funding for the “Bridges 2024” Art Salon, through which the new trends in contemporary literary life will be presented to the public of Lovech. A talent workshop will also be organized – students will present drawings related to their hometown and traditions and a book will be published with them.
The association “Architectural Reserve Staro Stefanovo – ISVOTE” will create a website in which they will present the only remaining unknown architectural reserve in Bulgaria that has preserved the memory of the Renaissance.
Funding for the organization of the 7th National Folklore Festival “Lyulyakova ruchenitsa” will be received by the folk community center “Zornitsa 2010” – Neno Shtregarski. The main goals of the project are to preserve Bulgarian folklore and traditions, develop and enrich the cultural life of the local community, develop creative talents and satisfy the cultural needs and interests of the population.
The same community center has an approved project for organizing the 13th National Folklore Festival “Horo pod Stratesh”, in which groups from Lovech and the whole country participate.
“The past meets the present” is the project of the community center “Hristo Botev-1927” – Goran village.
His idea is to preserve the tradition of a forgotten and outdated Bulgarian dish – “white man”.
The fund supports the development of culture in the Municipality of Lovech by raising, managing and spending funds for the implementation of the national and municipal policy in the field of culture based on pre-defined priority areas within a calendar year, the municipal administration adds.
