The municipality of Kardzhali, with urgent measures for the tourist season, launched a mobile application for the guests of the city

The municipality of Kardzhali is taking urgent measures to have a successful tourist season this year. A mobile app is being worked on. It will be launched within a month along with the new website of the municipality. All cultural-historical and natural attractions of the municipality will be presented. Many hiking routes will be indicated, including 13 hiking trails. The hotel industry will also be promoted. There will also be a new tourist center building. Deputy Mayor Veselina Tihomirova announced this at a session of the local parliament in Kardzhali. She spoke about the proposal of Adv. Daniela Petrova from “Vazrazhdane” for the creation of a mobile application for tourism in the municipality, which would be launched for the beginning of the tourist season. Adv. Petrova detailed the advantages of having a mobile application for tourism. She proposed the application to be free. To present all cultural-historical and natural sites with access to them and contacts. The mobile application will not only present the tourist sites, but it will also be possible to pay for their entrance. We will open Kardzhali to the world, because it will also enter the Google search engine, stressed Adv. Daniela Petrova. She proposed to allocate funds from the municipal budget, in which BGN 250,000 has been earmarked for the development of tourism in the Municipality of Kardzhali.

The mayor Erol Mümün pointed out that the idea is being worked hard. He expressed doubt that Petrova is lobbying for a specific software product. It is too early for an election campaign, emphasized the mayor.

Adv. Daniela Petrova’s proposal received only four councilors’ approval. Almost all councilors abstained. There was only one against.
