Earth Day with a series of initiatives and an open letter to local authorities

--

The students from the Second Secondary School “Prof. Nikola Marinov” were actively involved with various activities in commemorating Earth Day.

Sixth graders organized a campaign to collect plastic caps under the title “Caps for the Future”. The collected caps were handed over on 20/04/2024 and the students received a certificate of donation.

On Monday, a quiz “We love our planet Earth” was organized and an exhibition was organized by the talented artists who showed their attitude towards the cleanliness of our planet with their paintings.

The students from the 8th, 8th and 10th grades were among the bravest participants in the initiatives. They did not hesitate to express their civil position before the local authorities, in the person of Hristalina Halacheva – secretary of the Municipality of Targovishte, and to describe what they think are the most pressing environmental problems of the city of Targovishte and to give suggestions for this – how we can let’s deal with some of them. Special thanks to Mrs. Halacheva, who received our students and promised to read their open letters. Our students have made sure that their opinion is important and valuable, the school says.

The graduates of five classes from the high school decided to clean up the “Borovo Oko” area. They took their free time to make this landmark of the city even more welcoming and clean.
