Political coalition “Blue Bulgaria” has registered to participate in the parliamentary and European elections, Vili Lilkov announced

Political coalition “Blue Bulgaria” is registering to participate in the parliamentary and European elections, Prof. Vili Lilkov from the coalition announced at a press conference at the National Press Club of BTA in Sofia. During the event, the political union presented the leading policies and decisions with which they will appear in the campaign for the European Parliament and for people’s representatives in the Bulgarian Parliament.
Lilkov commented that the coalition is a continuation of “Blue Sofia”, which ran in the local elections in 2023. The coalition includes: KOD, “Conservative Bulgaria”, “Bulgarian New Democracy”, NDSV, Movement “Bulgaria of Citizens”, “Radical Democratic Party”, “Democratic Action Movement – D 3” and others, supported by the Atlantic Council.
Last night, at a meeting of the BZNS, they also decided to join the coalition, Vili Lilkov also announced and added that “Blue Bulgaria” is also in negotiations with some other right-wing formations.
According to Petar Moskov from KOD, “Blue Bulgaria” is a right-wing conservative political union, an alternative to liberal assemblies and left-wing Eurasian political projects. He added that the coalition is not a mechanical collection of parties, but is an aspiration for unification around right-wing economic decisions, conservative values, European future and Bulgaria’s security. He announced that among the goals of the coalition is the completion of Bulgaria’s integration into Schengen and the Eurozone.
Moscow stated that he did not know whether “Blue Bulgaria” would work in the parliament with GERB and “Continuing the change – Democratic Bulgaria”, but defined future interaction with DPS, BSP and “Vazrazhdane” as impossible. According to him, a document will be prepared with clearly outlined goals and measures regarding the economy, the effectiveness of the security, healthcare and education systems and the guarantee of Bulgaria’s European future and security.
We propose a right-wing economic policy aimed at growth, specific structural reforms and clear ways to achieve the goals, added Petar Moskov. He specified that the coalition opposes the understanding that Bulgaria can fulfill its national goals “only if it is subordinated to the East or the West”.
