On 20.04.2024, the third edition of the largest educational event in Bulgaria was held in the city of Sofia – “Good practices in focus”. More than 500 educators and representatives of publishing houses were present, who devoted a whole day to the exchange of ideas and professional experience. Among the participants, Mrs. Plamena Dyulgerova, senior teacher of vocational training in the field of “Applied Informatics” and Mrs. Yordanka Uzunova, senior teacher of English from “Aleko Konstantinov” Vocational High School of Economics, Kardjali, were invited to attend. Their pedagogical developments were highly appreciated and successfully qualified for the final phase of the competition of the same name, which was held within the event. The articles they prepared became part of 100 effective practices for Project Based Learning, with publication on the largest educational platform prepodavame.bg.
Ms. Dimitria Hristova, senior teacher of General Vocational Training, was invited to conduct one of the workshops with the educational community at the forum. The invitation is on the occasion of her participation with a team of students Malamir Petkov, Manuel Marinov, Arzu Muharem, Anna Gavrilyuk and Ioana Kaloyanova in a competition for school eco-projects organized by prepodavame.bg. Their project for an educational board game with an environmental focus caught the attention of the jury, so the organizers invited it to be presented during the workshop “Project-Based Learning with Climate Problem Solving.”
While playing, participants learned interesting facts about the fashion industry, answered questions or made decisions related to using sustainable materials for production. Special certificates will be sent to the students who participated in the development of the idea.
Throughout the day of the event, colleagues had the opportunity to take part in three practical workshops. They received valuable information as well as materials from the first person at the organized educational expo.
PGI teachers continue to be involved in various initiatives, not only passing on their experience, but also enriching themselves professionally.
