Burgas deputies from GERB for the overthrow of Rosen Zhelyazkov: Political ambitions crush professionalism and competence

The removal of Rosen Zhelyazkov as Speaker of the National Assembly showed how professionalism and competence are crushed by the political ambitions and petty passions of deputies with dreams of imposing themselves at any cost and holding power. This was commented by Burgas MP from GERB-SDS Zhecho Stankov, after Zhelyazkov was released with the votes of PP-DB, BSP, ITN and “Vazrazhdane”.

“It was a pure political act, without solid arguments, because in this National Assembly there is no person better prepared for the post than Rosen Zhelyazkov. His release is a clear sign of what kind of people are building the image of the National Assembly. The political games and intrigues must be put to an end and give way to those who can be in the foreground. This will also be our goal on June 9th! We will succeed together,” added Stankov.

“When we elected Rosen Zhelyazkov as Speaker of the Parliament a year ago, I was convinced that this choice was the most correct and well-deserved! The National Assembly went through many crisis meetings, but thanks to his professionalism and competence, he was able to lead the debates and calm down his fellow members of the people, who sometimes came to blows.
