A man from Plovdiv was fined for piling construction waste next to containers

--

A Plovdiv resident has been fined for illegal disposal of construction waste near block 151 in Trakia. The violation was detected this morning by the organizer of “Cleanliness” in the area, the municipal enterprise announced.

Minutes after the report was filed, a team from the Plovdiv Municipal Inspectorate arrived at the scene. The violator was issued an act under the environmental protection ordinance, and the sanctions provided for similar cases range from BGN 300 to BGN 800.

Chistota reminds that up to 1 cubic meter of construction waste from home renovations can be handed over free of charge to the specialized site in front of the company’s base – 64A Dame Gruev Street. According to the schedule, teams with heavy specialized equipment collect bulky waste in the neighborhoods – bulky items from old furniture such as sofas, tables, armchairs, mattresses, joinery, etc., but not construction waste.

“Our desire is for people to follow the rules, not to penalize them. We will make even more efforts to inform them how to properly dispose of waste so as not to pollute the environment,” commented the director of Chistota, Eng. Desislava Georgieva.
