A new kindergarten opens its doors in Varna in the fall

--

A completely new kindergarten will open its doors this fall in Varna. This became clear after the Municipal Council gave its consent to the opening of the children’s center at 2 Hushov Street in the seaside town. The kindergarten will be able to accommodate 100 children in four age groups. With its construction, the number of municipal gardens in the central Odessos area will increase to nine, which will allow the coverage of more children with a permanent and current address in this part of the city.
Construction of the daycare started a few years ago and should be completed in August.
The councilors agreed to provide part of the funds needed for the construction and major renovation of two schools, three childcare facilities and one dormitory in Varna. The municipality will provide more than BGN 11 million for this purpose. Varna has approved projects under the program of the Ministry of Education and Science for the construction of a new building of a kindergarten in the “Kaisieva gradina” district and for a new building of a kindergarten in the “Primorski” district. The construction of the two sites will cost a little over 9 million BGN, of which about 6 million is a grant under the program, and the rest will have to be provided by the Municipality.
The funds for additional financing of the sites will be included in the municipal budget for 2025, but due to the deadline set by the Ministry of Education for confirmation – May 31, 2024, the proposal was voted on today.
The councilors also agreed to provide up to BGN 8.35 million for the period 2024-2026 for the implementation of five sites under the National Plan for Recovery and Sustainability.
