The scandalous staurophoric butler Sylvester Yanakiev (civil name Stanimir Georgiev Yanakiev) has had a dizzying career from politics to business in recent years! And all this in violation of the Statute of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, which he must observe as a priest!

Father Yanakiev, who furiously throws unconfirmed statements at Agatopol Bishop Jerotei, at the priests of the Sliven Diocese, and today in his Facebook post and at the Municipality of Burgas! In it he tries again to “wash” his hands of his sins with others. Apparently, the reason for this was the letter with a request for an ecclesiastical court, which 32 priests from the Sliven Diocese sent to the Holy Synod. In it, they clearly indicate their reasons for the request for a church court, which is also for the brother of priest Sylvester – staurophorian butler Yevgeny Yanakiev.

On August 16, 2020, priest Sylvester Yanakiev became a co-founder of the “HONOR” party in Stara Zagora. Among the main actors is the little-known Burgas municipal councilor Vladimir Pavlov, who went through several parties such as SDS, headed “Vazrazhdane”, and now became a councilor again from PP “Sbor”.

Apparently, for Sylvester Yanakiev, the Statute of the BOC is not a law, so he violates it more than once. It says:

Art. 139. (1) Clerics and monastics are prohibited from holding positions and assuming duties in state and local authorities, to participate in party activity and election campaign, as well as to run for bodies at the European, state and local level.

It is not clear how then priest Sylvester Yanakiev explained his actions, if he was asked to account at all, by the then Sliven Metropolitan Ioanikiy, who left this world on January 9, 2024.

The statutes of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church forbid clerics and monasticism and to have sole proprietorships or participate in partnerships.

(3) Clerics and monastics are prohibited from registering as sole traders, being partners in personal commercial companies, sole owners of the capital in limited liability companies and joint-stock companies, as well as procurators, managers and members of the boards of directors, management and supervisory boards of commercial companies in which the Bulgarian Orthodox Church – Bulgarian Patriarchate and its local branches are not the sole owners of capital of commercial companies or do not own 50 percent of the capital of the company.

Apparently, this did not stop priest Sylvester Yanakiwe from going wild in the field of business.

In his post today on Facebook, Silester Yanakiev tries to explain that I quote: “Now they have seized two companies that we made in 2020 to apply for OPPR axis 6 two churches from the diocese: the cathedral church in Sliven and the church in Brashlyan village, in connection with religious tourism”.

I assume that he is referring to the company “Ecotourism Brashlyan” OOD, in which he is the manager and partner with 50% of the shares, but which was not registered in 2020, at least two years ago, because the annual financial report for 2018 was published in the Commercial Register year. However, religious tourism is nowhere mentioned in the company’s activities, as Yanakiev claims in his post. The subject of the company’s activity is:

“Construction / construction / and equipment of hospital complexes, hotels and social institutions, leasing and establishment of other similar property rights on medical equipment, sale and delivery of medical drugs and other such, production and sale of industrial and agricultural goods, incl. import and export, trade in all kinds of goods (excluding prohibited ones), including import and export, all types of services, including those performed abroad, freight forwarding, warehousing, commercial representation and brokerage, transport, taxi, hotel services , impresario and advertising activity, purchase and sale of real estate and movable property, as well as the performance of any commercial transactions not prohibited by law”.

When the name Stanislav Georgiev Yanakiev is entered in the Commercial Register, two of his companies appear in which he is the sole owner and two companies in which he is a partner. In addition to “Ecotourism Brashlyan” Ltd., Yanakiev is also a partner in “VI SI ES” Ltd., where, in addition to owning 50% of the company’s capital, he is also a manager. The company’s activity is:

“Internal and external commercial activity, re-export, purchase of goods or other items for the purpose of sale in original, processed or processed form, production of goods for the purpose of sale, commission, warehousing, transport, carriage, tourist activity, activity of a commercial representation in Bulgarian and foreign individuals and legal entities, courier and postal services, mediation or provision of other services, translations and legalization of documents, publishing, sale and service of agricultural machinery, services with agricultural machinery, car mechanics and other services, transactions with intellectual property, purchase, construction or furnishing of real estate for the purpose of sale, import and export in the field of activity, production and processing of agricultural products, implementation of investment projects in the field of agriculture and tourism, purchase of agricultural land, leasing and renting of agricultural land, as well as performing other activities not prohibited by law”.

Priest Sylvester is the sole owner of “EURO CONSULT 01” EOOE and “Solar and wind systems” EOOD.

The subject of the first company’s activity is: “Business and other management consulting, consulting services for European programs and projects, commercial representation and mediation, operation of public catering establishments, commissions, forwarding and transport transactions, warehouse transactions, license transactions, stock control, transactions with intellectual property, restaurant, hotel, tourist, advertising, information, programming, impresario or other services, purchase, construction or furnishing of real estate for the purpose of sale, leasing and construction activities, performing all types of commercial activities and services , which are not prohibited by law, but when permission is required by law to carry out certain transactions – after obtaining such”.

As stated in the founding act, the subject of activity of “Solar and wind systems” EOOD is: “-consultation, design and construction of systems for the production of electricity from renewable energy sources – production, transmission and sale of electricity – purchase of goods or other items for the purpose of resale in original, processed or processed form; – commission, forwarding, leasing activities of commercial representation; – transport, hotel, advertising, informational, impresario activities, or the provision of other services; -production of films, video recordings, and the like; -purchase, construction or furnishing of real estate by law activities”.

These are only official data about the company affairs of priest Sylvester (Stanislav) Yanakiev, which he does not make official. What else his name is connected with can only be guessed, considering his behavior and the words he utters without the fear of God!
