On the one hand, out of reverence and respect for Dr. Tonchev, and with pride and hope that we can immortalize a bright person and write him down in the memory of time, said the mayor of Dobrichka Municipality, Sonia Georgieva, during the ceremony. Today, when heroes among us are very rare, it is very valuable when people want to immortalize you as a hero of their time. Dr. Tonchev was well respected and loved for his dedication, selfless dedication to his cause and his love and care for all of you and all his patients, neglecting his personal time and commitments. All this gives meaning to the word heroism in peacetime, Georgieva said. In her words, with people like Dr. Tonchev, the world really gets better. There is life after death and you prove it with your love, added the mayor of Dobrichka Municipality.
Today is his birthday and what better gift of appreciation and love than you. To me, as to you, he was not only a good man. He was an angel who helped the good, worked for the good, said Dr. Tonchev’s wife – Sasha Toncheva, through tears. She thanked Evgeni Gochev for the idea of placing a memorial plaque, and Sonia Georgieva for embracing the idea and for its implementation.

In addition to Smolnitsa, Dr. Tonchev had patients from the neighboring villages of Lovchantsi, Kozloduytsi, Zlatia, Samuilovo, Polkovnik Ivanovo, Miladinovtsi, Malka Smolnitsa, Dyankovo, and their total number exceeded 2,000 people.
