Expertise will establish the dating of ancient objects

The specialized police operation was carried out by the officers of the “Criminal Crime Countermeasures” sector at the ODMVR – Pleven and their colleagues from the Koinare section. In the course of the actions, they carried out an inspection of a residence in the village of Chomakovtsi. In the home of the 42-year-old man, many ancient objects were found – rings, coins, fibulae, spearheads and others resembling cultural and historical values, as well as a metal detector, reports the Ministry of the Interior, Dunav Most adds.

The archaeological sites have not been identified and registered in the relevant order in the Regional History Museum – Pleven. Expertise on their exact dating is pending.

A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated in the case, the work on which continues under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
