Firefighters managed to save the life of an 88-year-old woman in Veliko Tarnovo.
A house was on fire on “Zelenka” street. The fire broke out shortly before midnight and the fire brigade teams were on their feet.
The accident was reported by neighbors who noticed flames coming out of the house. Firefighters arrived within minutes and immediately began evacuating the elderly woman. According to eyewitnesses, the operation was very dangerous – the victim was taken out through the terrace, and there was also a gas bottle in the house, reports “Focus”.
The causes of the fire are in the process of being clarified, but it is assumed that it was caused by a malfunctioning electrical device – a night lamp.
The woman was taken to the hospital for a non-life-threatening examination.
