Kindergarten “Radost” in the village of Stefan Karadzha will celebrate its 50th anniversary Dobrich Regional Television

Kindergarten “Radost” in the village of Stefan Karadzha, Dobrichka Municipality, will celebrate its 50th anniversary on April 26 at 4:30 p.m. The holiday program was prepared entirely by the graduates of the kindergarten. The main guests of the celebration will be their parents, representatives of the municipal administration, directors of childcare facilities in the municipality, as well as former teachers and support staff in the garden.

Kindergarten “Radost” was founded in 1974 with director Kalinka Raicheva. In 2003, the kindergarten was transformed as a half-day group to the kindergarten in the village of Paskalevo, and three years later – in 2006, by order of the then mayor Petko Petkov, it again acquired the status of a kindergarten. Marijana Dobreva was appointed director, who is still at the helm today.

Former teachers are Rumyana Yordanova, Vladka Yordanova and Stoyanka Petrova, and substitutes were Marusya Nikolova, Veska Kalcheva and Maria Neikova.

In September 2023, the Radost Kindergarten moved to a completely renovated building, thanks to the efforts of the current mayor, Sonia Georgieva. BGN 350,000 was invested from the budget of the Municipality of Dobrichka for repair works.

Currently, 24 children, united in a mixed group aged 2 to 7, are studying in the garden. They are looked after by a director, a teacher, an assistant educator who combines the duties of hostess and cook.

From the beginning of 2024, all children study folk dances in an extracurricular form of education. The classes are 2 times a week under the guidance of a choreographer.
