New street in Silistra Municipality

--

The municipal council in Silistra approved the proposal to name a new street in the village of Aydemir. The street, which until now was known as part of road III-215, will bear the name “Ferry”.

The decision was made at yesterday’s meeting of the Municipal Council, after a request was received for the issuance of a Certificate of Current Administrative Address from the owner of the land bordering the street.

During the official inspection, it was established that the land in question is located and has an exit on a part of a street that is part of the republican road network, but until now it did not have a name. The street is designated as road III-215 and is part of the urbanized territory of PZ “Zapad” – Silistra, providing access to “Ferry Terminal – Silistra”.

Subsequently, a Report was received from the Mayor of the village of Aydemir, with which the part of road III-215, from the deviation at km 3 + 050 (left deviation from road III-213 at km 4 + 687) to km 5 + 506 was proposed (Ferry Terminal barrier – Silistra), to receive a name in accordance with the requirements of the Law on Civil Registration and the Law on Local Self-Government and Local Administration.

The name “Ferry” was chosen because the street provides direct access to the Ferry Terminal in Silistra, which is an important transport hub for the city.

Councilor from Vazrazhdane Svilen Dimitrov proposed another name for the street – “Radecki”, but it gathered only 10 votes “for” and was not accepted.
