The municipal councilor from “Bravo, Plovdiv” Erol Sadakov expressed his indignation at the low-quality construction of the “Lokomotiv” stadium. At today’s meeting, he asked the mayor of Plovdiv Municipality about the activities going on in Lauta, as well as what the administration will do.
As TrafficNews wrote, the stadium shows rust on fences, railings and other metal elements, swollen and cracked walls and columns, leaks and moisture.
“Lokomotiv Plovdiv is among the giants in Bulgarian football, and for nearly 100 years it has pleased, pleases and will continue to please thousands of its fans. The dream of the entire “black and white” community was for the 100-year anniversary of the club, to have a new and modern stadium, meeting the traditions and level of Lokomotiv. At the same time, one can see how the stadium is being built extremely slowly, but obviously at the expense of this and of poor quality. The “Besika” tribune, as well as the “South Tribune” has unacceptable things that were built and are visible to the naked eye,” said Sadakov. He added that he hopes that the builders did not allow poor quality execution in the structures and the main ones of the stadium.
“My father is one of those people who gave his whole life to Lokomotiv. My first steps were taken at Lokomotiv Stadium, I grew up there, and I will probably grow old there as well. It is unacceptable for builders to mock the memory of hundreds of Plovdiv residents who gave their lives to their favorite club, as well as the future of Plovdiv – the children who enjoy the success of Lokomotiv”, Sadakov said.
He raised questions about who monitors the quality of construction, whether inspections have been done and what their results are. Also to answer about the intentions of the Municipality of Plovdiv in view of the low-quality construction, as well as whether sanctions will follow.
The last question was about the public order for the central tribune and the vertical layout – when will the Municipality announce the procedure.
