“Today, a “combination” of PP/DB and BSP, supported by “Vazrazhdane” and ITN, overthrew the Speaker of the National Assembly, Rosen Zhelyazkov. Two days before we start an election campaign. If the action is directed against GERB-SDS, it is pointless, because the powers of the chairman will be exercised again by the deputy chairman of the largest parliamentary group, that is, by the deputy chairman of the GERB-SDS he spoke and the lack of applause when the resignation was accepted clearly showed that he has authority and recognition that no one from the PP/DB will ever have”, said the People’s Representative from Dobrich and Deputy Chairman of the GERB Denitsa Parliamentary Group Sacheva commented on the removal of Rosen Zhelyazkov as Speaker of the Parliament.
With 129 votes “for” and 103 “against”, Rosen Zhelyazkov was released early as the chairman of the 49th National Assembly. The decision was supported by “Continuing the change – Democratic Bulgaria” (PP-DB), “BSP for Bulgaria”, “Vazrazhdane” and “There is such a people” (ITN), GERB-SDS and DPS voted “against”.
“PP/DB demanded and accepted the resignation of Rosen Zhelyazkov, because he had allowed the voting of the resignation of the head of the NHIF without taking into account the fact that for months before that he had been working in resignation. PP/DB kept grave silence when DANS came out with revelations, that during their administration the Specialized Electronic System for the Tracking and Analysis of Medicinal Products (SESPA) was changed and that this led to the favoring of traders with medicinal products, to particularly large profits at the expense of Bulgarian patients who paid in addition to with their insurance, with their health and life. At the expense of this, they asked for the resignation of the head of DANS later,” Sacheva added.
In her words, “the participation of PP/DB in Bulgarian politics, and especially of their de facto “leaders” Asen Vassilev and Lena Borislavova, will be remembered for their patronage of smuggling and corruption, the obsession with absolute power, brutal arrogance, lack of respect for people and for Bulgaria”.
