It was accepted unanimously and passed as point #7, where other issues related to sports in Pazardzhik were recorded.

In the previous sixth point, the request from “Badminton – Squash Club Pazardzhik” was considered, in which the club submitted a request for targeted funding for the athletes Stefani and Gabriela Stoevi – three-time European Badminton champions in women’s pairs, silver medalists from the European Championship in Saarbruecken (Germany ) in the month of April this year (10-14.04.2024), two-time champions of the European Olympic Games (Baku and Poland), participants in two Olympics, won a quota for the Olympics in Paris in 2024, multiple State champions, brought many titles and medals for the city of Pazardjik and the Republic of Bulgaria of any international rank, competing for Pazardjik in the “Badminton-Squash Club Pazardjik” for the past seven years.

The requested support from the sports club “Badminton – Squash Club Pazardzhik” is for targeted funding in the amount of BGN 8,000 per year, to support the training-preparatory and recovery process, and the sports-competition calendar for 2024 of the badminton players Stefani and Gabriela Stoevi .

The councilors decided to allocate the funds for “Badminton – Squash Club Pazardzhik”, as well as the amount for DUSH VK Heber.

Two regular items were dropped from the agenda – the salaries of councilors and the resignation of Nayden Shopov. Councilors also heard a statement from their new colleague Verzhin Hugasyan.

On behalf of the Armenian community and PP/DB advisors, she read a declaration in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide, which is commemorated on April 24. The declaration emphasizes that thousands of Armenian refugees have been accepted in Bulgaria and are provided with conditions for existence and development. Over a million and a half victims of the Armenian Genocide were honored with a minute’s silence and standing. Verzhin Hugasyan took the place of Tanya Kolchakova-Yaneva in the PP/DB group, as well as in the two commissions in which Kolchakova-Yaneva was a member.
