The unemployment rate in March in the Dobrich region was 5.74%

At work in March 2024. 577 unemployed persons entered the Dobrich region. 569 are employed in the primary labor market. Two persons have been placed in a subsidized workplace under employment measures, one under programs and 5 under schemes of the PRCHR 2021-2027. During the month, 63 young people under the age of 29 were placed in employment, as well as 29 long-term unemployed persons (with registration at the labor offices for more than 1 year). This was announced by the “Labor Bureau” Directorate in Dobrich.
In March 2024, 1,611 jobs on the primary labor market were applied for in the labor offices of the district.
The most sought-after professions in the labor offices are preserved compared to the previous month. There are the most places for workers in the hotel and restaurant industry – 1,302 places. Considerable interest remains in cooks, waiters, assistants. cooks, kitchen workers, maids, washers, pastry chefs, restaurant cleaner and others.
Next are the places for workers in agriculture, forestry and fishing – 95 jobs, as well as for workers in the processing industry – 40 places for bread makers and loaders of materials. There are a significant number of jobs for salespeople in shops and trade intermediaries – nearly 35 jobs, construction workers – 20 jobs, drivers of heavy and light vehicles – 10 jobs.
There is a demand in humanitarian health care and social work, in public administration and education – 70 positions are announced for teachers, personal assistants, home health workers, social workers, etc.
The level of unemployment in Dobrichka region in March 2024. is 5.74%. The number of registered unemployed in the labor offices of the district is 3461, with 265 persons less compared to February 2024 (3726). Compared to March 2023 (5.38%), an increase of 0.36 percentage points is reported in the unemployment rate.
In the city of Dobrich, the number of registered unemployed in the month of March was 1110, with 125 persons less compared to the previous month (1235). The unemployment rate in the city is 3.4%, with a decrease of 0.3% compared to the previous month.
The submission of applications by employed and unemployed persons for trainings with vouchers for DI-GI skills and competences under “Component 2: Trainings for DI-GI skills and competences” of Investment C1.I3 – PZ “Provision of trainings for digital skills and creation” continues on an adult learning platform’ of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
On 08.03.2024 started accepting applications from employers under Project “Starting a job”, component 3 “Employment”. By the deadline of 04/07/2024, 92 employers from the district submitted requests to disclose a total of 214 jobs.
The acceptance of applications from employers under the “Youth Employment +” Project of the PRHR 2021-2027 continues.
In March 2024 two Job Fairs were held in the district – General in the town of Kavarna and Specialized in the field of tourism in the town of Dobrich. At the two exchanges, 30 employers, mostly from the tourism industry, announced a total of 1,106 vacancies for the summer tourist season.
