Everyone knows that Petya Dubarova is a graduate of the English High School in Burgas. But do you know what her first school was? And what is the name of her lover or where in the world is our lavender producing country? These and many other curious questions were answered by the students of the Burgas “Ivan Vazov” SU in a quiz dedicated to Petya Dubarova, Bulgaria and the Bulgarian language. And if you are still wondering, the sunny girl of Burgas crossed the school threshold for the first time precisely at “Ivan Vazov” Secondary School.
High school students took part in the fun quiz with a lot of enthusiasm and a will to win. They were divided into six teams and had to answer questions in three rounds. The questions will certainly make it difficult for many, but not for the children who demonstrated good knowledge and a very broad general culture. After a contested race, the victory was won by the team of 10 A class.
They received wi-fi columns as a reward from the school management. The student council also gives away movie tickets. The second place went to the team of 9 A class, who received thermal cups as a gift. The third place was won by the competitors from 8 A class, who managed to overcome even teams of eleventh graders.
The quiz is organized for the first time and brings back an old tradition in which students measure their strengths in the field of knowledge. The competition was organized by the idea of the senior teacher of English and German Rusin Borislavov and very quickly found support among colleagues and students.
After the end of the quiz, the participants wished that next year the competition would be held on a larger scale and that teams from other Burgas schools would be included in it.
