Svetlana Kamenova secured a second final for Bulgaria at the European Championships in Belgrade. The third in the world and three-time vice-champion of the Old Continent will have the opportunity to win her first title after convincingly beating the Romanian Claudia Nechita in the category up to 57 kilograms. Under the guidance of Borislav Georgiev and Roman Tsvetkov, she defeated her rival with 5:0 votes.
Svetlana showed visible superiority and with excellent movement in the ring she left almost no chances to her rival. She quickly established the correct distance and after the second round the outcome of the fight was already clear.
On Sunday, our leading national will face Daria Abramova (Russia) for the gold.
Venelina Poptoleva finished with a bronze medal. In the category up to 52 kilograms, she lost by 0:5 judges’ votes to the Olympic vice-champion from Tokyo Buse Çakroğlu (Turkey).
