The Economic High School in Silistra held an Open Day

--

The Professional High School of Business Management, Administration and Services “Atanas Burov” in Silistra is organizing a Spring Festival of Bulgarian traditions for the first time. The event was also an Open Day, in which future eighth-graders could get to know the school’s facilities and teachers.
With songs and dances, self-made people dressed in folk costumes recreated the “Lazaruvane” holiday. In different corners, representatives of the school companies presented handmade souvenirs and food and drinks prepared by them.
“We decided to hold this festival of Bulgarian traditions and holidays, showing the work of our educational companies and presenting the specialties that can be studied at the school. With this holiday, we combine interests, project work and subjects from the students’ curriculum. I see a large number of seventh-graders, and I hope many of them will start studying with us,” the high school director Denka Mihailova told BTA.
She added that this year the high school will not announce admissions in the fields of “Tourism” and “Restaurant Management” due to the lack of teachers. The specialties that will be studied at the school in the next academic year are “Economic Informatics”, “Judicial Administration” and “Banking”.
