The municipal councilors of Pazardzhik rejected the proposal to grant a financial incentive to promote the birth rate, submitted by councilors from “Novote vreme”, defining the conditions as “discriminatory”. The mayor of Pazardzhik Petar Kulenski proposed a threefold reduction in the price of meals in a children’s milk kitchen at the meeting of the local parliament. In this way, financial support from the municipality for children and their parents will be daily and permanent, the mayor stressed.

The municipal councilors of Pazardzhik defined as discriminatory the proposal submitted by Georgi Koprishtenov from “Novote Vreme” for the adoption of an Ordinance on granting financial aid to promote the birth rate and raising children in the territory of Pazardzhik Municipality.

Councilors from various political forces spoke out against the ordinance.

In the course of the debates, Mayor Petar Kulenski made another proposal.

After the debates, the proposal of the municipal councilor Georgi Koprishchenov did not receive the support of the other councilors. Only 16 of them voted for, four were against and 19 abstained.
