A man and a woman were arrested yesterday afternoon in Varna by Criminal Police officers following an operation to combat drug-related crime.

The law enforcement officers also detained two of their customers, who were driving a car during the transaction. The subsequent inspection showed the presence of amphetamine in one, and the other refused a drug test. During their personal search, methamphetamine and marijuana were found.

In the course of the investigation, the police officers entered the residence of the two distributors of the narcotic substances – a 26-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man. Unfortunately, they are old acquaintances of the police and already convicted of the same crime. This was followed by an inspection of the apartment where the two live. An electronic scale, methamphetamine and marijuana were found and seized during a search of the property. In the case, a pre-trial proceeding has been initiated under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office, the press center of the police in Varna announced.
