In the period April 8 – 22, 2024, the “Probuda” School Board at the “P. R. Slaveikov” implemented a campaign “Hear my voice!” – part of the events within the European Youth Week. The European Youth Week is an initiative of the European Commission that takes place every year and focuses on the issues and challenges that affect young people in Europe, promotes the engagement of young people in public life, highlights the importance of their voice and their participation in decision-making processes, as well as to provide a platform for the exchange of experience and ideas between young people from different countries of the European Union.

The “Hear my voice!” campaign realized 3 information days, 1 TED training, 1 art workshop in partnership with CPLR – ODK, Kardzhali. Through the activities carried out within two calendar weeks, the young people became familiar with the opportunities that the Eurodesk network offers, as well as with additional information that concerns young people, for example about work, travel and education abroad. A volunteer from the “Erasm+” program from Slovenia joined the training and shared her impressions, difficulties and activities. “In summary, we can say that the campaign provokes a lot of interest and it is important to have such, especially in small settlements, where there is a lack of youth spaces and the access of young people to information on certain issues is limited”, says Nevena Angelova – program coordinator Eurodesk and Katerina Dikmeva from UN “Probuda”.
