And DPS – Haskovo nominated Elena Yoncheva for MEP. Her candidacy was nominated by the Regional Council of DPS after the end of the extended meetings of the municipal councils in all municipalities in the district Haskovothe regional structure of the Movement announced on its official Facebook page.

Elena Yoncheva is not a stranger in Haskovo and the region. It was from here that she was elected as a deputy in the 44th National Assembly in 2017, which she left after being elected as MEP. A lawsuit was filed against Yoncheva by Delyan Dobrev from GERB because of her words that in the municipality in Haskovo his relatives and friends were appointed, but Dobrev’s claim was rejected by the Sofia City Court in 2022.
