A major demand of the tourism industry it is before the start of the summer tourist season the capacity of our consulates, especially in Central Asia, where recruitment mainly takes place workers from third parties for the needs of the sector, to increase their capacity. Talks have been held and we believe that this is achievable. He announced this to journalists in the resort complex “Sunny Beach” the Acting Minister of Tourism Evtim Miloshev. According to him, another important topic for the industry is the amendments and additions to the Law on Foreigners in Bulgaria.

“At the moment, the debate is going on in the National Assembly. This will be the best sign from the people’s representation to the sector if this law is adopted. The third important thing is the Ordinance on water rescue activities. It was adopted by the Council of Ministers on April 7 this year It contains many requirements for which the sector is not yet ready. We are not talking about whether they are adequate. The request of the sector is, if possible, to delay the implementation of this regulation until the end of the year this will create a legal case, because this ordinance has been adopted, and the previous one no longer has effect,” said the minister. He added that he will discuss the topic with the Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Galya Kondeva. Miloshev also said that he expects remunerations in the tourism sector in the country should be increased by about 20 percent, at all levels in the sector.

“Tourism is fighting for workers from third countries, because there are not enough people here who want to work in this sector. The good news is that for another year there will be an increase in remuneration. Seasonal work is something that is important for the sector”, added the line minister. In Sunny Beach, he added that an increase in the number of tourists is expected this year.

“We expect a growth of about 15 percent in tourism in Bulgaria. Armenia, Kosovo and Uzbekistan are the new markets we expect to see on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. We expect market growth Great Britain about 15 – 20 percent. Because of the war in the Middle East, it was expected that Israeli tourists would not come to Bulgaria, but in the end we already have reservations, so we expect tourists from Israel“, added Miloshev.
