District Prosecutor’s Office-Ruse and District Prosecutor’s Office-Ruse gave a training lecture to students from “Baba Tonka” Secondary School

On 24.04.2024, Miroslav Marinov – Deputy District Prosecutor of the District Prosecutor’s Office –ruse and Svetoslav Velikov – Deputy District Prosecutor of the District Prosecutor’s Office –ruse, delivered a lecture on “Children and Computer/Cyber ​​Crime. The dangers of the Internet and social networks. Protection of personal data in the Internet space students from the XI “a” and IX “c” classes of the “Baba Tonka” Mathematical High School,ruse.

During the lecture, the magistrates introduced studentsthose with the emergence and development of cybercrime, as well as with the services in Bulgaria, which are directly involved in countering, uncovering and investigating this type of crime. The children were explained the types of computer crimes and the corresponding provisions in the Criminal Code that criminalize these acts. Prosecutors told the studentsthose cases from their practice, describing the mechanism of committing the respective crimes.

The lecture is part of the Educational Program “Judicial Power – Informed Choice and Civil Trust. Open courts and prosecutor’s offices”, which is aimed at studentswith the aim of forming legal literacy and culture, compliance with laws, limiting negative patterns of behavior, building trust in the judiciary.
