The artist Gergana Popova comes with the exhibition “Magical Worlds”…

--

The art salon of Total Sport presents for the first time in Plovdiv an exhibition of the artist Gergana Popova. “Magical Worlds” opens on May 9 at 6:30 p.m. The curator of the exhibition is the scheduler Miroslav Radev.

Gergana Popova comes to Plovdiv directly from her last exhibition in April in Vienna. Fine art lovers will see 50 canvases in different formats. Among them are the popular “fine art prints”. According to Miroslav Radev, the Bulgarian woman who lives and works in Austria is a rare phenomenon in the visual arts. The artist develops her own highly characteristic and specific pictorial style, which can be defined as magical symbolism, because of the specific painting techniques, the atypical materials she uses, the color energy and the semantic references to history, folklore, philosophy and religion.

Gergana’s art has a unique vision, filled with a lot of color, highly decorative, with many details and with non-standard, but harmonious color combinations. The paintings are made up of many symbols and different codes, contain a deep philosophical layer and carry a strong subtext that needs to be read and interpreted. The compositions are grouped in a non-standard way, also loaded with a meaningful context. In the “Magical Worlds” exhibition, Gergana Popova challenges viewers with a complex artistic puzzle that they must solve.

At the opening of the exhibition, the people of Plovdiv will also enjoy the music of the famous Austrian rock and blues singer and guitarist Jürgen Rothensteiner, who will play together with the virtuoso Bulgarian pianist Maestro Stanislav Arabadzhiev. The exhibition will remain at Total Sport until the end of May.
