Streets in the city turned into rivers
Anti-hail missiles were fired in the area of Stara Zagorabut they didn’t stop hailthe one that poured over the city and the region. The rockets were heard before the rain, people from the villages complained that their crops were destroyed, Bulgaria On Air reported.

The Executive Agency “Fighting Hail” reported that they fired 600 rockets in connection with the developed powerful cumulus cloudsaccompanied by hailin the regions of Plovdiv, Haskovo, Stara Zagora and Sliven.
More than 20 hail cells were processed by the Regional Directorates for Hail in Taža, Stara Zagora, Popovitsa, Haskovo and Sliven. One of the cells passing over a protected territory is a super cell, which is affected by 3 regional directorates – Popovitsa, Petrovo and Staro selo. This type of process is characterized by the continuous renewal of the power of the cloud, and it is impossible to completely prevent it hailbut only the reduction in size. And at the moment, processing continues in order to break the clouds and protect the crops.
