Salaries in the tourism sector this year will be raised by around 20% at all levels. This was announced by the acting Minister of Tourism Evtim Miloshev from Sunny Beach, BGNES reported.
Miloshev is on a working visit to the resort, where he met with representatives of the tourism industry to discuss the problems before the start of the summer season.
“This is a good sign for the labor market in Bulgaria, because tourism is fighting for workers. The best workers, the most desirable workers in tourism are Bulgarians. Third country workers are sought because there is a labor shortage. But I say again, the good news is that for the next year, salaries in the sector will rise by about 20%. This is important because it is worth paying enough attention to seasonal work,” Miloshev said.
Today, the Acting Minister of Tourism is expected to participate in the awarding ceremony for the winners of the National Professions Competition in K.K. “Golden Sands”.
A press conference of Evtim Miloshev is planned for tomorrow, April 26, in the “Varna” hall in the Municipality of the sea capital.
On Friday, the tourism minister’s tour continues in Veliko Tarnovo and Targovishte.
