The plenary day began with a lack of quorum and a 30-minute break, after which it continued with the debates on the requested resignation of the Speaker of the National Assembly, BGNES reported.
“Today, the resignation of the Chairman of the National Assembly Rosen Zhelyazkov was supposed to be voted on, which request was initiated by the BSP, Vazrazhdane and PP-DB.
Against this request, some of the PP-DB and BSP groups also did not register. “With this act, PP-DB saved Rosen Zhelyazkov and GERB. There is an agreement between them. In addition, 6 people from BSP also did not register,” said Kostadin Kostadinov from “Vazrazhdane”.
“The PP-DB, which stood in Peevski’s lap, made a circus today. With heavy statements about how they will demand the resignation of Rosen Zhelyazkov, today they failed the quorum of the National Assembly, which saved Zhelyazkov,” said Toshko Yordanov from ITN.
After the 30-minute break, a quorum gathered and Asen Vasilev proposed that the requested resignation of Rosen Zhelyazkov be entered as the first item on the agenda, and now the debates are underway.
