The municipal council in Burgas approved the transformation of the school “St. Kliment Ohridski” in the district of Rudnik, from Kundeni in Sredno. The change will be effective from the next school year. Currently, the school has 179 students in 10 classes from 1st to 10th grade from different social and ethnic groups. The educational institution is the only school in the district of Rudnik.

“The philosophy of the unified schools assumes that their graduates, after completing the first high school stage in the 10th grade, already in the 11th and 12th will continue their education elsewhere. However, our observations show that this is not the case with the graduates of the “St. Kliment Ohridski” in the district “Rudnik”. At the same time, within the framework of the educational institution, we are witnessing an extremely good management, a constant increase of interest in the school, constant attraction of new students, development of a professional direction – “Automotive painting”, explained Mihail Nenov, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Burgas .

He added that the teaching of the Bulgarian language using the suggestopedic method is about to be introduced in the school, aimed at those students to whom he was not born.

The number of students who will be educated and educated at the school in the next school year is 207. 137 of them are in primary and junior high school, and 70 students are in high school. The school also has a bus that transports the children from Bryastovets and the surrounding villages.

A similar measure for the transformation of an educational institution is also being considered for the school in the “Gorno Ezerovo” district. “It is also unified and also has the potential to attract back students who have completed 10th grade and have not continued their education elsewhere,” Nenov added.
