SU “Ivan Vazov” won first place in the municipal round of the National Student Competition “Protection in Disasters, Fires and Emergency Situations”

SMARTPHONE VERSION AND MORE PHOTOS >>> The competition is organized by the Municipality of Stara Zagora, RD “Fire Safety and Protection of the Population” and the District Council of the BCH – Stara Zagora and aims to test and improve the knowledge of Stara Zagora students in the field of safety and first aid.

The “Ivan Vazov” SU team won first place in the municipal round of the National Student Competition “Protection in Disasters, Fires and Emergency Situations”. Second place was taken by IX “Veselin Hanchev” Primary School, and third – V “Mityo Stanev” Primary School. After this victory, the “Ivan Vazov” SU team moves on to the District stage of the competition, which will be held on May 21.

The head of the department “Protection of public order and crisis management” of Stara Zagora Municipality Plamen Todorov, as well as the head of the group “Preventive activity and preventive control” of RD PBZN Marin Radev, greeted the participants. They also presented the prizes to the winners.

The competition took place in several stages. The first round was in Hall 1 of the Municipal Administration and was held in the form of an individual test, which aims to check the knowledge of the participants on the studied topics of the disaster, fire and emergency response curriculum. The questions in the test are grouped into the sections: Natural Disasters, Industrial Accidents and Disasters, Personal Protective Equipment, Fire Safety and Neutralizing Solutions for Ammonia and Chlorine Pollution.

The practical part was a test of skills, knowledge, speed and intelligence through competitive games. In the next stage, the teams participated in competitive games in four Training Centers – Disaster Protection, Protection against Industrial Accidents and Radiation Pollution, Fire Safety and First Aid.

A total of 9 municipal schools with students from VI and VII grades took part in the competition – OU “Kiril Hristov”, SU “Hristo Smirnenski”, OU “Kolio Ganchev”, XII OU “Stefan Karadzha”, XI OU “Nikolai Liliev” and OU ” Georgi Raichev”.
