For the 35th time, over 30 clubs from all over the country will compete for the “Vereia” National Cup on April 27 /Saturday/ in the “Ivan Vazov” Sports Hall in Stara Zagora. The official opening is from 11:00.

The competition will showcase the talent and sporting potential of men, women, juniors and senior girls in various disciplines to showcase the most skilled kyokushin masters.

In addition to the championship prizes, there will also be special prizes for high fighting spirit and most technical competitors.

The organizers of the upcoming competition are the Municipality of Stara Zagora, SKKK “Asken” and the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation /BKCF/.

“Kyokushin is a style of karate created by Sosai Masutatsu Oyama, originating in Japan. In the discipline of karate, respect, respect for superiors is very important, because karate is not just a sport, it is an academy. In it you develop and grow as a fighter! The essence of this art is not in being able to fight or in what color is your belt, karate teaches above all to defeat yourself! If you overcome your ego and fight against self-pity, if you forget about the pain, then you will be able to stand up and defeat any opponent,” said Shihan Asenov, founder of SKKK “Asken”.

The combat sports club was the first established in Stara Zagora, with over 40 years of history.

There are over 80 competitors actively training the martial art. Apart from its titles and medals, the Stara Zagora club has created and continues to create, guide and train athletes in various categories and ages who represent Stara Zagora and Bulgaria. It can proudly boast of champions from national, international, European and world championships – Asen Asenov, Anelia Asenova, Daniela Dineva, Danaila Cherneva, Petar Martinov, Stiliyan Petrov, Kristiyan Raichev, Krum Krumov, Mitko Minevski, Lachezar Palachorov and others.

Its coaches are the first gold medalist from the European Kyokushin Championship for Bulgaria – shihan Asen Asenov, sensei Anelia Asenova and sensei Miroslav Mitev, and senpai are Anelia Vasileva and Zarko Vasilev.
