Today should be the last working day of the deputies of the 49th National Assembly. The meeting will be held without the chairman of the institution, after the resignation of Rosen Zhelyazkov was voted on Thursday.

MPs are expected to vote on the ban on gambling advertising in the media at first reading.

The proposal was made by Temenuzka Petkova from GERB-SDS and Yordan Tsonev from DPS.

According to the changes to the Gambling Act, the advertising of gambling games on television, websites and print media will be prohibited, and will remain only allowed on billboards and in sports halls or sports equipment, for example located far from schools. The changes also increase the investment that gambling operators seeking a license must make.

Deputies also vote on the second reading of the Bill on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on the Export Control of Defense-Related Products and Dual-Use Products and Technologies, the Bill on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Defense and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as A bill to ratify International Agreement Amendment and Addendum No. 2 to International Agreement (LOA) BU-D-SAB “F-16 Block 70 Aircraft and Related Support” under the US Foreign Military Sales Program.
