Over 8,100 one- and two-member and nearly 1,500 three-member families will receive food packages in Targovishte district.
This was informed by Gergana Georgieva – Director of the Regional Directorate for Social Assistance.
In implementation of the Program for food and basic material support, co-financed by the European Social Fund plus, the Bulgarian Red Cross has started distributing food packages on the territory of all settlements in Targovishte district.
The packages contain 15 types of products: oil, rice, flour, sugar, lentils, spaghetti, lutenitsa, jam, as well as 7 types of preserves: green beans, ripe beans; tomatoes, peas; casserole, chicken fricassee and fish.
One-member and two-member families will receive one food package with a total weight of 10,890 kg, and three-member and larger families – two food packages with a total weight of 38,470 kg.
Every eligible citizen will receive the products due to him against an identity document and a signature, explained by Regional Directorate of Social Assistance.
