For the first time, a regular flight program from Frankfurt to Burgas was launched on April 28. This was announced by the expert from the “Aviation Marketing” department, Ivo Barzov, during a meeting with the tourism industry in Pomorie.
“So there will be one key airport to use for transfer flights. The national airline “Bulgaria Air” resumes regular flights from Sofia to Burgas on June 2, which is 3 weeks earlier than last year. As at the beginning they will be performed twice a week, and from June 17th they will start five times a week. The first charter flights are expected to start in the first half of May. The first organized tourists are expected to arrive with them. It is also interesting that we will have direct flights from Madrid to Burgas this year as well. Another completely new market is Kosovo,” he pointed out.
The first flights from Pristina are expected in June. They will also be performed from Yerevan to Burgas, as well as from Uzbekistan.
Double-digit growth in UK tourists is forecast this season. There will be flights to Manchester and Liverpool.
“Lithuania’s national carrier adds another route. This time from the capital of Estonia – Tallinn. Since last year they have launched Riga, this year they will operate flights to Riga again,” added Barzov.
In the last week of June, flights to Berlin are also restarted.
