Bulgaria is in the top 3 in terms of medals from the European Boxing Championship Boec.BG

The Bulgarian national boxing team ranked among the best teams in Europe during the championship of the “old continent”, which is about to end this weekend in Belgrade.

11 out of 12 possible are the honors our boxers will take home with when the competition is closed.

Zlatislava Chukanova (50 kg.) and Svetlana Kamenova (57 kg.) will argue for the gold medals in their categories, while Sevda Asenova (48 kg.), Venelina Poptoleva (52 kg.) and Asluhan Mehmedova (63 kg.) congratulated each other with the bronze awards.

On the men’s side on Sunday, we expect to see Javier Ibanez (57kg), Radoslav Rosenov (60kg) and Ramy Keuan (75kg) fighting for the titles. There are already bronze medals for Ergunal Sebakhtin (48 kg), Yasen Radev (54 kg) and Yordan Morehon (92+kg)

We remind you that Stanimira Petrova was also supposed to box at the European Championships, but in the days before the start, an illness took her out of the accounts. Otherwise, she is one of the best in the world among women up to 54 kg.

Russia and Serbia are the leaders in terms of the total number of medals from the competition, but after the end of the tournament we will also have to announce where the symbolic team title will go.
