On April 27, 2024, a collection of poems by the young poet Boyka Ivanova will be presented in the “Dimitar Georgiev” Museum Gallery – Plovdiv from 11:00 a.m. She will read her poems together with the children and youth from Brezovo Municipality.
The collection includes 28 poems and space for illustrations that each participant will draw himself. The meeting was organized by the Municipality of Brezovo, and the collection was issued by the Local Commission for the fight against anti-social behavior of minors with the aim of successful prevention.
“What better place could there be than the Dimitar Georgiev gallery, which has collected the works of the greatest classical Bulgarian artists, where children and young people have the chance to get acquainted with fine art and poetry. We have been working successfully with the gallery team for the education of children for several years and we see their cultural growth. So that we are again grateful for the opportunity to implement another initiative useful for the younger generation,” shared Antonia Stoyanova, ch. Education and culture specialist in the Municipality of Brezovo and secretary of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The event will be attended by the Mayor of the Municipality, Mr. Kalin Kalapankov, deputy. the mayor and the chairman of the MKBPPMN, Mrs. Tsonka Paliyska, as well as representatives of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Brezovo.
Boyka Ivanova is 18 years old. He started writing poems from childhood. He has already published two collections of poems with a charitable purpose – “Faith in goodness”, published with the cooperation of the 6th SU in the city of Pernik in 2022, and “Caresses in words” published by the “Multiple Sclerosis” Foundation in 2023. From The 16-year-old is an assistant to her mother, who has multiple sclerosis. Her dream is to graduate in medicine. Boyka Ivanova is a winner of awards from national poetry contests: 2023 award from the National Contest “With White Legs Today” held in St. Zagora, and the last award goes to the jury of the contest “Gaitani vejdi, snaga topola” 2024 of the “Bukvit” Foundation.
