Last weekend there was a craft market in Vidin and we couldn’t help but go there to meet some creative person. We’ve found quite a few talented local artisans to meet you in a series over the coming Fridays. Today we introduce you to Diana Minkova from Vidin, who fell in love with this hobby since the days when many women embroidered tapestries. Today she embroiders needlework. Embroideries, which he embeds in a variety of jewelry, knick-knacks, purses.

“I started 1 year ago. I find on the Internet, not schemes, I look at them directly from ready-made embroidered jewelry and embroider them. I change the colors, this is very important. As long as I like it, I try to make it beautiful, high-quality and people are satisfied. I’ve been embroidering since I was 30 years old, but now I’m motivated by it mostly because my daughter has this talent to draw and so I can represent her things too…”

Diana’s passion for needlework also comes from the fact that she loves folk dances very much. A favorite model of hers is the “rope”, which is more difficult to embroider, but nevertheless she succeeds, albeit more slowly. It takes her about two days to make one necklace with embroidery.

According to Diana, people in Vidin are not very interested in handmade products.

“That’s what makes it unique when it’s handmade. I try not to repeat myself in what I do.”

Diana Minkova talks about the brand “Bee shop”, in which everyone in the family helps and gets involved in something. I’m also going to meet you soon with her older daughter Yana, who graces the stand of their family brand, with her beautifully painted t-shirts, cards, bags and all sorts of other beauties. They are truly one of the most creative families we have met recently.
