Five options for the construction of multi-story parking lots in one of the neighborhoods of Burgas

--

By polling the residents, the municipality solves the problem in the busiest residential area – “Vazrazhdane”

Once again, the municipality of Burgas is trying to solve the parking problem in one of the busiest districts of the city – “Vazrazhdane”, by launching the idea of multi-storey parking lots.

The neighborhood is located in the broad city center and is literally overcrowded, its streets clogged with cars. And although in the last ten years the local authority has annually allocated funds in its budget and built new parking lots of a conventional type – a space covered with asphalt or elements of a grass joint, mapped out for a certain number of cars, the problem of parking in the most urbanized areas of the city continues to deepen.

Especially for the “Vazrazhdane” quarter, the municipality’s idea of multi-story parking lots is not new, but until now it met with resistance from the residents living near the proposed places.

“I have not given up looking for a solution to the problem

We will make another attempt this time to reach a consensus among the residents of the neighborhood in order to choose together the most suitable and approved by all locations for the construction of multi-story parking lots,” commented Mayor Dimitar Nikolov.

He called on the citizens of Burgas to be active, because due to the record number of cars, the parking problem in “Vazrazhdane” is seriously worsening.

Its residents are offered 5 possible locations for the construction of multi-story parking lots, chosen after a survey of all available land, the local administration explains.

The first option covers the space between “Debelt” and “Tsar Kaloyan” streets, “Lyuben Karavelov” and “Vasil Levski” streets.

The second location is between “Debelt” and “Tsar Kaloyan” streets, “Alexander Stamboliyski” and “Slivnitsa” streets, and the third – between “Tsar Kaloyan” and “Ivaylo” streets, “St. Kliment Ohridski” and “Tsarigradska”.

In the fourth possible option, a multi-story parking lot will be built between “Maria Luiza” and “Debelt” boulevards, “Tsar Samuil” and “Probuda” streets, and in the fifth – between “Tsar Samuil” and “Macedonia” streets. “Tsar Kaloyan” and “Debelt” streets.

Anyone who wants to weigh in on the hot topic of parking in the neighborhood can fill out an online survey or seek out municipal pollsters. They will be every day after 5:30 p.m. in the Boris garden and the BCHK center on “Kaloyan” street.

The survey consists of 8 questions,

including how many cars the family has, how often parking is a problem, how and by whom the future floor facilities should be used and what is an acceptable monthly subscription, as well as whether the neighborhood needs additional green spaces between blocks.

We hope that people will be active, their answers will help us a lot to finalize the concept, so that we can start designing and actively looking for financial means for the construction of multi-storey parking lots, commented the municipality.
